Weekend with Mommy!

A few weekends ago, Jim was out of town on a camping trip, so Sean and I spent a little one-on-one time together.  We had so much fun playing, taking walks around the neighborhood and going to Southlake Town Square.  Oh how I love this little boy…

Mommy’s Birthday Week!

I had a very special birthday week, thanks to my sweet, and thoughtful hubby.  He surprised me with a Cuarto Leches Cake from one of our favorite Latin restaurants, La Duni.  It truly taste just as yummy as it looks:)  It was such a wonderful treat, that made an ordinary work-day, into extraordinary!! I had so much fun enjoying my special day with my boys!

On Wednesday, Granner came and stayed, so she could take Seany boy to Baird for the weekend.  This was the very first time Sean has stayed with the grandparents without us.  It sounded like all the grandparents had a great time with the little man, even though he was suffering from a virus, that all along we thought was allergies and teething issues.  I was sad to find out that all four grandparents came down with a different form of Sean’s virus, and it didn’t sound pretty:(  Sorry, Granner, Daddy B, Gram and Papa!   Pictures to come soon from Sean’s big weekend!

While Sean was with the grandparents, we took a little mini-vacation down to San Antonio, for a little mommy and daddy time.  Our road trip was a fun experience since we got to stop off in Salado, for some of the best beef jerky in Texas,  and stopping in Kyle, to see the historical marker of my ancestor, John Wheeler Bunton, whom we named Sean after.  Kyle, Texas is a very small town that you go through on I-35, which has a wonderful little restaurant called Texas Pie Company, that serves amazing desserts!

We had a fun first night hanging out with old friends, enjoying good food, and doing a little c & w dancing, that we seldom get to do.  The second day, we enjoyed walking around the River Walk, trying more good restaurants, and getting some good  shopping in, that we also never do with lil’ bit:)

Our little get-away was so much fun, and very well-needed, but by Sunday, we were so ready to see our little man, and oh’ how sweet it was…
