A few weeks ago my mother-in-law, Jim, Sean and I participated in the Fort Worth/Dallas Brain Tumor Society “Race for the Cure”! We were a part of “Team MelCor,'” which is named after my good friend Melinda Wells, and her husband Corey. The Lord brought Melinda and I together three years ago, and her faith has been a living testimony to me and everyone that knows her. We are so thankful that Melinda is now cancer free, after lots of radiation and three surgeries. I was so thrilled to have raised $625 for our team in such a short amount of time. I was definitely overwhelmed with gratitude for all the donations my dear friends and family gave on my behalf. It was truly amazing being a part of something that is so near and dear to my heart! We all enjoyed it so much, that we plan on making it an annual family event each year!

I walked for a dear co-worker Elia, that pass away last year from and brain tumor, Jill, which is my boss in Houston’s cousin. Mary McGill, is my hygiene patient I just met this year, that had the exact same tumor I have removed 40 years ago. She has been such an encouragement to me. God is good!
