Baylor Game

This past weekend we went to the A&M/Baylor game with our friends the Arringtons. We had a great time and the boys were in a good mood, because the Aggies won! We had a great road trip down some back roads to College Station. No we were not drinking:) For all Dallasites heading to College Station, be sure to stop at the Sonic at Buffalo, Texas. They have the best service and food that you can get! (Maybe we were just really hungry on the way back from the game). We all got a lot of sun and were feeling pretty crispy after the big win. We look forward to our next road trip to share with you. Stay tuned...

Miami Trip

We took a mini vacation to Miami with our friends the Arringtons and the Tuckers. We had a blast even though the Aggies lost. The highlight of the trip was relaxing on South Beach and observing all the interesting people and things there. Some of the pictures didn't even make it to the blog they were so interesting! All and all, it was a great trip with lots of great memories!

Our New Place!

Finally, we have pictures of our new home! We are so excited to show you all that we have done to the place. We made our big move on August 8th, the hottest week of the entire year! We had lots of help from my parents, Jim's mom and our good friends, the Dentons. Jim and I are so happy to have our first house together as a married couple. We have been dreaming of this for over four years. We both agree that this is so much better than apartment living! We feel so fortunate to have wonderful neighbors that have already welcomed us to the area from day one. We are sad to say the the previous owners were HUGE TU fans, and had a longhorn flag flying to prove it. They were so sweet to welcome us with an Aggie flag and a bottle of champagne. We are so thankful to have such wonderful previous owners that kept such good care of the house. The guy living here was a home builder, which explains all the built-ins and updates to the house. We couldn't have found a place that better fits us. Cocoa, our dog, is so happy to finally have a yard of her own. She absolutely loves being outside and enjoying her dog pool that we have for her. We look forward to opening up our home to many friends and family in the years to come. You are always welcome to stop by or even come and stay!

About a month ago, Jim and I decided to do a few little things with the house. We had the kitchen/breakfast area and the upstairs guest bathroom re-textured and painted. We also had the master bathroom and one of the guest bedrooms repainted. We are so happy with how everything turned out! The guys that did all the work had it done within three days! We now feel like we have made the house our own with all the changes. We have a few other home improvements we would like to do, but that will come in time. We will keep you posted on what is new with the house!
