This year, we spent Thanksgiving day with Jim’s dad’s family, who live on a ranch an hour outside of Lubbock. We had a great time being out in the wide open spaces and enjoyed all the beautiful sunsets from their back porch. Their house also looks out to the Cap Rock canyon, which is an amazing view to see. Sean enjoyed seeing all the cows and horses, and most of all being with his aunts, uncle and grandparents. We had a great time, despite the lack of sleep Sean deprived of us;) We’re hoping by this time next year, Sean will be traveling and staying places with no problems!
The most amazing sunsets over the canyon…
A view of the canyon before the sunset…the picture doesn’t do it justice…
This was Sean on the plane sleeping…five minutes after he screamed his head off during take off. Good times:)
Having fun playing with the basketball…
Note: the red mark on his face where he scratched against Jim’s face while screaming on the plane…

After we flew back home to Dallas, we drove the next morning to Baird to visit the sets of grandparents. We were so glad Sean got to see his cousins (my brother’s three kids) while we were there! The kids had a great time riding all around in Gram and Papa’s jeep, especially since the weather was beautiful. So fun watching all the kids play and create memories that they will never forget.

That night, we went to Granner and Daddy B’s house to spend time with them. Sean had so much fun playing on the antique rocking horse and all his other toys there! He of course, likes the antique horse much better than the brand new one we have at home, that neighs and wags his tail…go figure;) Sean was a very tired little boy after such a busy day with family!
We give thanks for all our wonderful family! We feel so fortunate to have spent time with all of them during this special time of year!
