We're Pregnant!!!

Jim and I are very excited to find out that we are PREGNANT!!! We could not be happier!!! We feel so very blessed for this to have happened so fast. My doctor gave us the okay in March to start our family after finding out that my brain tumor had not changed in size on my MRI. God has truly blessed us with this little miracle and we can't wait to meet our sweet baby. At this point, I am ten weeks pregnant, and the expected due date is January 18th. I go back to have an MRI and to see the doctor in late August to check the status of the tumor to make sure that hormones are not causing it to grow. So, I ask for continued prayer over this situation and that I will "keep the faith" and remember that I am in God's hands. What better hands to be in! Thank you everyone for all your prayers through this journey. This exciting time would not be possible without your prayers. Praise God from whom all blessings flow...

Our little miracle at 6 weeks!

8 weeks...the baby is on its head here.

Our Five Year Anniversary!!!!

Jim and I can't believe it has already been five years! We have had some amazing times together starting in College Station, then Houston and now in Dallas. I couldn't ask for a better husband and friend to spend my life with. Thanks Jimmy for being an amazing soul mate!
For our anniversary this year, we went to one of our favorite places called La Duni, which is a Latin restaurant. The food is a lot like Mexican food (our favorite), with a kick. We had a blast on our special night together. I look forward to the next fifty years or more together!

Gardere's Yearly Event!

Jim's law firm had their end-of-the-fiscal-year event at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in downtown Dallas. We always have a great time hanging out with all the fun people that Jim works with. We really enjoyed the awesome food and had a great time at the casino night. We look forward to next year's event!

Our Church Care Team Event

For our last care team event, we had a great time eating boiled crawfish, sausage and potatoes that David Burton prepared. Paige also made a delicious cake that we all enjoyed. The Burton's were great host and we all had a fun time hanging out on the memorial day weekend.

Odom's Graduation

Jim's older brother Odom, graduated from UT law school a few weeks ago. We will now have two attorney's in the family....isn't that scary!! We are excited that Odom and Amanda will be moving to the Dallas area where he will be working. Even though the trip was short, we had a great time getting to see family and celebrating Odom's accomplishments!

Ski Trip '08

Yes, I know it's been way too long since we have blogged! This picture shows how long it has been. Jim and I went sking this Spring Break in Angel Fire, NM, and had a great time together. This trip was a long time coming! We have talked about going sking for the past few years. So... we got that out of our system after a hurt wrist, a bum knee, and very sore muscles:( The mountains were just beautiful and the snow was perfect! All and all, we had a great time and enjoyed getting a little R & R.

Snow, snow and more snow!!

We were sooo excited to see the beautiful snow twice this past week!! We couldn't believe our eyes when we saw it coming down on Monday night. Surprisingly, we had another blizzard on Thursday with the biggest snowflakes ever. What a fun snow week!

My Sweet Hubby!

Sorry it has taken us so long to catch up on our blog. It has already been a busy first of the year! Jim and I have not done anything too exciting, just working and school.
I had to share the pictues of the beautiful roses Jim gave me in January. They were absolutely beautiful! Thanks sweetie for being so thoughtful.

Cowboy Game!

The Arringtons snagged four tickets to the "Club Suite," and they generously invited us to accompany them. We enjoyed every bit of the game, even though the 'Boys lost.

Thanksgiving Weekend!

This Thanksgiving we were in the panhandle visiting Jim's family. We took some beautiful pictures of Jim's dad's ranch which has the Cap Rocks that run through it.

Happy Birthday Jimbo!!

On November 3rd, we celebrated Jim's 28th birthday! We had a great weekend with Jim's parents that came in town for his big day. As always, we had lots of fun and good food while they were visiting. We had a wonderful time opening up our new house to our family and look forward to having many more come to stay!

Tech Game

This past weekend we got together again with our Aggie friends the Tuckers and the Arringtons for the A&M vs. Tech game. The Aggies aren't getting any better but the parties sure are! We had a great time eating Ryan's famous burgers, my homemade french fries and Dusty's delicious brownies. Even though the Aggie football team is faltering, the twelfth man stays alive!

Baylor Game

This past weekend we went to the A&M/Baylor game with our friends the Arringtons. We had a great time and the boys were in a good mood, because the Aggies won! We had a great road trip down some back roads to College Station. No we were not drinking:) For all Dallasites heading to College Station, be sure to stop at the Sonic at Buffalo, Texas. They have the best service and food that you can get! (Maybe we were just really hungry on the way back from the game). We all got a lot of sun and were feeling pretty crispy after the big win. We look forward to our next road trip to share with you. Stay tuned...
