Family Weekend!

A few weekends ago we enjoyed a beautiful weekend visiting family in Austin. We had so much fun watching our nephew, Dane’s soccer game, and celebrating our other nephew Hudson’s, 3rd birthday. While in Austin, we made a visit to the Texas State Cemetery to see the gravesite of John Wheeler Bunton. John Wheeler is an ancestor on my side of the family, whom we named Sean Wheeler after. John Wheeler served the great state of Texas in many ways. He fought in the battle of San Jacinto, was in the first congress of the Republic of Texas and was one of the signers of the Texas Declaration of Independence. It was such a neat experience getting to see the gravesite of the great man we named our son after. As you will see, this cemetery is amazingly beautiful and is full of honorable men and women that served our wonderful state of Texas. What a memorable weekend we had enjoying family from the past and the present!

14 Months

Well…he’s finally walking…but only on his own terms:)  We just can’t understand it, but Sean prefers crawling over walking, most of the time.  We get a big laugh watching Sean crawl on one elbow, while he carries a toy in his hand.  I keep saying he looks like a dog with a bum leg;)

At fourteen months, Sean has found a love for anything that has a lid and swinging doors.  Two of his favorite new toys are a Vaseline jar and Jim’s Chap Stick.   These two things can keep him busy for 30 minutes or more!  Who would have ever thought?!  It’s amazing how the simplest things fascinate the heart of someone so small…

March Happenings!

These past few weekends we have enjoyed spending time as a family outside and enjoying this awesome Spring weather. A couple of weekends ago, Sean had fun playing at our new neighborhood park that we are looking forward to going to more often. He enjoyed all the fun slides and trying to climb on the rock wall;) This past weekend we went downtown Grapevine to shop and enjoy the awesome sunshine.
We were so excited to have Gram staying with us for a few days. Gram always comes in to go to all my MRI's that I have every 6 months. We were SO happy to find out that the tumor we have been watching for three years, has not grown!!! I'm so grateful for everyone that has continued to pray for me and who sent sweet cards and emails. One thing I have to share, was how overwhelmed with gratitiude I was knowing that my amazing church family was specifically praying for me at the church early Friday before my MRI. What an awesome feeling to know that I had prayer warriors petitioning before the Lord on my behalf!! Jim and I are truly blessed by so many friends and family and have SO much to be thankful for!
